FAQ

Common questions about flexlist. The rules and terms are the source of truth if anything here conflicts with them.

What is flexlist?

A public leaderboard of people, ranked by nothing but money. You pay, you get a profile, and you sit above everyone who paid less. Anyone can outflex anyone at any time. Every payment is public.

What does outflex mean?

To pay more than somebody else and take their position. Like outrun or outsmart, but with money on a leaderboard. If a payment lands just above you, you get an email and can take the spot straight back.

Is this serious?

The money is real, the ranks are real, and the link on your profile is a real followed link that search engines see. Whether buying a spot on a leaderboard is a serious thing to do is your call.

How much does it cost?

Whole US dollars, $10 minimum and $1,000,000 maximum, in steps of $1. Taking #1 costs at least $5 more than the current #1. Paying less still puts you on the board, just lower.

Can I raise my rank later?

Yes, and it is cheaper than starting over. Enter the same profile again and pick a higher total — checkout charges only the difference between what you have paid and where you want to be. Nobody else can take your rank by paying just that difference.

What happens if someone pays while I am in checkout?

Rank is assigned when your payment clears, not when checkout opens. If someone outflexed you in the meantime, you still land on the board — just not necessarily where you aimed.

Are payments refundable?

No. All payments are final. Being outranked later, dropping off the Today board after 24 hours, getting fewer clicks than you hoped, or having your listing removed for breaking the rules do not create a refund.

What do I actually get for the money?

A public profile page with your name, your line, and one outbound link that is followed rather than blocked from search engines. Clicks on that link are counted and shown. A rank that stays visible until someone pays more. And an email when a payment lands just above you, so you can take the spot back.

Can I pay without showing my name?

Yes. Anonymous profiles appear as an Anonymous Whale with no name, no avatar, no link and no country — only the amount. It is a deliberate feature, not a workaround.

Do the boards expire?

All-time ranks never expire. Today ranks drop off 24 hours after each payment. Daily boards close at the end of their UTC day and then stay frozen in the archive forever.

Is my link followed?

Yes. Outbound links on profiles are followed, not marked as advertising. That is part of what you are paying for, and it is why some people buy a spot purely for the link.

What do you do with my email address?

Three things: confirm your payment, tell you when a payment lands just above you, and tell you if you lose The Crown. Not every payment that passes you sends an email — only the people closest below it are told, and never twice within six hours. It is never shown on the site, never sold, and never used for anything else. Details are in the privacy policy.

Can my listing be removed?

Yes, if it breaks the rules. Listings go live immediately and are reviewed afterwards. A removal is not refunded, so read the rules before paying.

Who is behind this?

One person, not a company with a marketing department. Details are in the imprint and on the about page.

How do I get in touch?
